Having had the budget approved last week at full council, you might think the hard work is over and we can all sit down with a gin and tonic and start the monitoring. I fear not.
There are a number of risks that we are carrying that have been exacerbated by the appalling events in Eastern Europe. Inflation will be our biggest financial risk and we have added a £5m risk reserve that covers the extraordinary inflationary increases we are seeing at the moment.
