‘Financial failure’ under spotlight in second probe

The future financial sustainability of councils will be thrust back into the spotlight after the launch of a fresh inquiry by the National Audit Office (NAO).

Last week auditors announced they would publish a report this summer, specifically looking at capital expenditure and financing.
