Future Forum North: Councils should ‘box clever’

Local government has been urged to capitalise on the plaudits the sector has accrued for its work during the coronavirus pandemic.

Speaking at The MJ’s Future Forum North, Dame Louise Casey, a former adviser to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, said Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham had helped raise the profile of devolution during the crisis.
