Future Forum North: 'Government still doesn't think sector is efficient'

Whitehall remains unconvinced that local government is as efficient as it can be, Smith Square’s deputy chief executive, Sarah Pickup, has said.

Speaking at The MJ’s Future Forum North event today, Ms Pickup said she thought the Local Government Association’s voice had got louder but there was still more work to do to outline what had been lost as a result of austerity.
