Interim to be drafted in after candidate turns down Lichfield post

Lichfield DC’s recruitment of a new chief executive was hit when its preferred candidate withdrew at the 11th hour.

The unnamed candidate for the post, unanimously agreed upon by the recruitment panel, turned down the role ‘citing a change in their career opportunities in their current organisation as a result of recent announcements,’ a council report has revealed.
