Local authorities are on the ‘frontline’ of the battle against extremism, an adviser to Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said.
Sara Khan, who started as the Government’s independent adviser for social cohesion and resilience in April, said the role of councils was not always ‘acknowledged or supported’.
