Lawrenson in statutory services warning

Councils that deliver social care will not have sustainable statutory services by 2019/20, the interim chief executive of Northamptonshire CC has predicted.

Damon Lawrenson said his council was still facing major financial problems three months after a Local Government Association peer review team said that its efforts to cope were still a work in progress and warned that ‘time is running out’ for the authority.
