Lords clash over voter ID trials

The House of Lords joined the debate over voter ID trials this week, amid claims local government elections are being targeted by fraudsters.

Lib Dem peer Lord Rennard, co-chair of the all-party parliamentary group on democratic participation, pointed to figures suggesting possible of cases of personation numbered fewer than 50 at the 2017 General Election.
