New management roles to reflect changed emphasis

Durham Council is to create two new roles in its senior management team, partly to reflect the growing importance of climate change and the environment.

Following proposals from chief executive Terry Collins, the council agreed to create two new corporate director posts - one for regeneration, economy and growth and another for neighbourhoods and climate change.
