PM should 'get on and deliver devo'

The Prime Minister understands the importance of fiscal devolution, he now needs to get on and deliver it, London’s most prominent councillor has claimed.

Announcing his departure as chair of London Councils after two years in post, Cllr Peter John told The MJ Boris Johnson would ‘understand the importance of fiscal devolution’ – not just for London but for the regions as well.

As London Mayor, Mr Johnson commissioned the London Finance Commission which provided a blueprint for the future of devolved finances for the capital.
