Peers call for council tax reform

A cross-party chorus of peers has called for reform of the council tax system and new bands to be introduced.

Speaking in a House of Lords debate last week, former member of the Public Accounts Committee, Lord Campbell-Savours, said the whole council tax system was ‘now in urgent need of reform’.
