Plea for £1.6bn winter care funding

Social care directors have made an appeal to the Government for a £1.7bn package over the winter months.

The Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS) said the funding was needed to avoid carer burnout and help with a shift in the way care is being delivered.
