Regional employers rebel over pay offer for chiefs

A regional rebellion is building over the national employers’ inferior pay offer for chief executives and senior officers.

The Association of Local Authority Chief Executives (ALACE) and Senior Managers recently turned down the one-year 1% offer for 2018/19, expressing frustration it was lower than the 2% two-year deal struck with the rest of the workforce.
