Shaping a 21st century Jersey

States of Jersey chief executive Charlie Parker is a villain – or at least that is what the media on the island would have you believe. His appraisal, which hit the headlines, even admitted he was doing a great job – but was not very popular.

It’s perhaps understandable that the two have gone hand in hand. Mr Parker arrived at the government in early 2018 on a mission to modernise, and not everyone wants to be changed.
