The NHS is sacrosanct – local government not so much

As the end of our winter lockdown approaches, how are the British? After the gloom of January, April sees one of the biggest jumps in economic confidence Ipsos MORI has ever measured.

This reflects the relative success of the vaccine rollout: the Government has nearly nine in ten people saying it is doing a good job on this. For any Government, at any time, to get this sort of rating, is very rare.
