The path ahead for local government

Local Government will ‘make the most’ of Brexit and turn it into an opportunity, communities secretary Greg Clark told The MJ last week.

Speaking at the Local Government Association (LGA) conference in Bournemouth, Mr Clark took the opportunity to sing the praises of the sector, in stark contrast to the visits of his predecessor, Eric Pickles, who used the annual gathering to beat local government with a stick.
