Time to give frontline staff the things they deserve

The perfect storm of Brexit and coronavirus has impacted on the UK in a number of different ways – including the steady supply of staff for low paid jobs.

From brickies to bartenders, an influx of staff from the European Union has bolstered the UK workforce in recent years, providing a ready supply of cheap labour – albeit along with the uncertainty of zero-hours contracts and growing in-work poverty.
