Trafford MBC's deputy returning officer voluntarily stepped down after ‘endorsing' a candidate in a tweet in the run up to the Manchester Mayoral election.
Corporate director of resources, Joanne Hyde, retweeted a tweet in support of Trafford leader, Sean Anstee, who stood as the Conservative candidate in the mayoral election.
