Access Selby – Lead Officer Contracts

Who are we?

Access Selby is a new way of working, a new way of thinking about public services combining the principles of business with the best of public service. Selby District Council responded positively to the financial challenges within the public sector by separating its commissioning and service delivery functions.

Based in new state-of-the-art offices in the heart of Yorkshire, Access Selby gives you the chance to work for a new organisation looking to expand its business across a range of services. We're developing the way we work, so you can help to shape our future.

What's the job?

We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded professional to head up our contracts section, with responsibility for managing multi-million pound contracts and partnerships, for example our strategic streetscene and leisure service contracts, as well as our asset management capital programme.

As Lead Officer for Contracts you'll be expected to develop new opportunities and build on existing partnerships to deliver the very best value for money.

Who are we looking for?

You will be a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor with significant experience of managing the procurement, delivery and management of major contracts, ideally in a commercial environment.

As a new organisation we are developing what we do and how we do it, and you'll need to be flexible and willing to embrace changing circumstances with new ideas and approaches.

Want to find out more?
