Assistant Director - Schools and Learning

Following the appointment of our new Strategic Director we are now seeking an exceptional person to join our senior management team to lead our Journey to Excellence, our new strategy to improve teaching and learning across the county.

You will have strategic leadership for our Education Improvement Services including Early Years, Schools and Adult Education, promoting a culture of lifelong learning and achievement. You will also lead services with highly committed teams who support our vulnerable learners across SEN, Access and Inclusion, Education Psychology, Behaviour Support and Alternative Provision.

Our integrated approach to Schools and Learning enables us to work in partnership with all children's services, schools, settings and centres to make Derbyshire an outstanding county of learning. If you share our ambition to achieve outstanding provision for all learners, we invite you to join us on our journey.

You will need to have exemplary leadership skills, a political awareness and significant experience of working with partners in order to develop and lead strategies for the Education Improvement Services.
