Assistant Executive Director (Children's Services)

This is an exciting time to be joining us at Tameside Council, with our new senior management structure in place. We are proud of our achievements which have been confirmed following our recent Ofsted inspection of Safeguarding and Looked After Children's Service with judgements being mainly good or outstanding.

As the new lead for Children's Services, we expect you to use your senior management experience and knowledge of Children's Social Care to implement a robust strategy for the effective delivery of the service, within a challenging financial framework, driving forward improvement to provide high quality services.

You must be committed to achieving the safety and wellbeing of our children and young people and be ready to challenge and support the team to deliver excellent outcomes for our community.

You will combine drive and determination with the ability to engage, inspire, empower and motivate the team to embrace change and develop innovative ways of improving our service. Your focus will be on the delivery of outcomes using evidence based planning and decision making. You will be a resourceful problem solver and be proactive in building and developing partnerships.

If you believe you are an outstanding leader with the above qualities and have the commitment to drive forward and develop further this challenging role, we would like to hear from you.
