Camden LBC has celebrated the work of its foster carers at a star-studded event. The awards ceremony, attended by actor Sir Derek Jacobi and Madness front man Suggs, rewarded the borough's foster carers for five, 10 and 20 years of service. Cllr Heather Johnson, cabinet member for children said: ‘Foster carers do a fantastic job and can really make a difference to the lives of young people. Being given a stable home is an excellent way to steer young people towards making the most of their lives and these unsung heroes deserve praise.'
