Shadow chancellor, Ed Balls, has been slammed for his role in the sacking of Sharon Shoesmith during her appeal of the High Court decision to uphold the judgement made after the death of the child, Peter Connolly.
Ms Shoesmith's solicitors, Beechcroft, presented a three-fold argument at the Court of Appeal against Haringey LBC, regulator Ofsted and the former children's secretary [Mr Balls] over the loss of her £130,000-a-year job as director of children's services.
