WORKFORCE

Building Services Manager

Southwark has one of the most high-profile housing briefs in the country. We are London's largest social landlord, responsible for the housing of some 45,000 people. Maintaining this extensive portfolio is a big challenge. And to better meet it, we have recently completed a major restructure of our Building Services department. All we need now is your ambition and vision to drive things forward.

This high-level role will see you heading up a team of 140 skilled technicians and operational staff. Responsible for a £13m budget, you'll coordinate resources so that we deliver a responsive repair service to all our tenants. You'll be responsible for both driving up performance and increasing value for money, and you'll look for new ways to further enhance our processes. It's a challenge that will see you both engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders and building on a programme of change.

To succeed, you'll need to have proven your credentials in a similar role already. You'll have extensive experience of managing building services in a public or private sector environment – plus a proven track of managing substantial budgets. Confident and credible, you will know how to improve processes and how to inspire those around you. Now, you'll be keen to bring those talents to a role where you'll be able to have a real impact.

For a confidential discussion or to apply, please call our consultant Rashpal Kaur Singh on +44 (0) 20 7333 8197 quoting reference HN6616.

Closing date: 18th December 2011.
