Burnham's GM metro mayoral team expands

Two council leaders and a former local government minister have joined the team of newly-elected Greater Manchester metro mayor Andy Burnham.

Two council leaders and a former local government minister have joined the team of newly-elected Greater Manchester metro mayor Andy Burnham.

Sir Richard Leese, who has led Manchester City Council since 1996, will be the Greater Manchester Combined Authority's deputy mayor for business and economy.
