BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Salary: £38,961 p.a. 37 hours per week

The Council has recently embarked upon a transformational change programme to deliver its aspiration to become a higher performing authority that places customers' needs at the heart of its service. We are committed to working with our colleagues and customers to deliver a service that is effective and innovative.

We are looking for someone who has the skills and experience to investigate and help deliver on new areas. For example investigating and potentially setting up a Special Purpose Vehicle or Limited Liability Partnership to deliver on renewable energy and energy efficiency, new build council and private housing, managing properties on behalf of other landlords, forming a lettings agency and other areas that may be appropriate.

You should champion continuous improvement across the service and deliver our overall objective. You should hold a degree or an appropriate professional qualification and you must have experience in supporting and motivating others in this key area. As you will also be responsible for the possibility to form a new vehicle and Council new build programme, you should have a good level of expertise in these areas. You will need to be an excellent communicator, have the ability to show initiative, analyse problems and provide groundbreaking solutions.
