This year is a big one for London local government: all 32 boroughs have all-out elections – and we can safely bet that these, at least, will not be postponed.
It is going to be a challenging contest for all the established parties and with what is effectively a five-party system in many places, likely to be the most unpredictable yet. It is also an opportunity to make a positive case for our capital, both to the rest of the country and to Londoners themselves.
