CCN will ensure councils in county and rural areas remain central

As the dust settles on the local elections, it is clear that the political make-up of local government's national representative bodies is changing.

With elections having already taken place in 21 County Councils Network (CCN) areas in 2025, our network went into last week's elections well ahead of the curve. But, as over the past 12 months, while our political balance may change, the purpose of a cross-party special interest group need not – if built on solid foundations.
