The Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO) recently released its annual ‘Pay survey', which examines the changes in pay and conditions for third sector leaders over the past 12 months.
Just like local councils, charities sometimes have to contend with the notion that it is outrageous for them to pay good salaries to leaders of complex organisations providing important services, but most realise the value of talented and experienced leadership, especially in such challenging times.
