Chief Executive and Monitoring Officer

£82,000 p.a.

Dorset's Police and Crime Commissioner, Martyn Underhill, is recruiting a Chief Executive and Monitoring Officer to support the delivery of his vision, strategy and priorities.

You will lead a small professional team which provides the PCC with a range of high quality support services encompassing corporate planning, commissioning and partnership, media and communications, community engagement, information & research and secretarial & administrative services. You will also ensure effective liaison with the police force, key local and national partners and the Police and Crime Panel, as well as facilitating the scrutiny of the Force's activities and performance.

You will be suitably qualified with extensive senior leadership experience in a complex environment and a successful track record of developing and delivering strategy and continuous improvement in a climate of change. You will have extensive partnership experience and a proven ability to persuade and influence. You will also have excellent leadership, management and communication skills and a high degree of political sensitivity. As Monitoring Officer, it will be your role to ensure legality, effective governance and the highest ethical standards.
