The role of the Chief Executive is to provide inspirational, dynamic and professional leadership to facilitate the delivery of service objectives. You will:
- lead the Council's management team and develop an open, inclusive culture which encourages organisation-wide participation.
- consult and advise members on the essential aspects of the Council's work
- ensure the Council continues to deliver high quality, effective and efficient services to the borough's residents by constantly reviewing and streamlining its operations and minimising waste
- build and foster partnerships and relationships which advance the Council's aims
- oversee the economic development of the borough and enhance its status in the region.
Applicants will be graduates in a relevant discipline with an appropriate management qualification. They will have excellent people management skills, have an astute business mind and be a charismatic ambassador for the organisation.
