Chief Executive

CSSC Sports and Leisure is the largest provider of corporate sports and leisure in the UK, offering a huge range of activities and opportunities to our 120,000 members. We actively promote health and wellbeing for the benefit of both the individual and their employer, largely through our network of over 10,000 volunteers.

We continue to develop our business and have expanded our membership base from the civil service to incorporate the wider public sector and members' families and friends.

We are seeking an engaging and innovative individual to provide clear and visible leadership to CSSC's highly motivated staff, volunteers and other stakeholders. Working alongside the Chair and volunteer Management Board, you will deliver a strategy for growth, raise our profile and influence, grow our membership and continue to innovate and enhance our services.

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate a proven track record of strategic leadership and driving change. You will have a strong understanding of governance, experience of developing a top team and an appreciation of how to engage with a large group of volunteers. In addition to exceptional corporate leadership skills, you will be commercially astute and a highly skilled communicator, with the ability to interact at all levels.

An active interest, understanding and passion for sports and leisure, coupled with empathy for and ability to be a passionate advocate of the benefits of a healthy lifestyle is imperative. This is a UK wide role with our head office based in High Wycombe. This is a demanding role that will give reward and challenge in equal measure.
