Local government reorganisation is a ‘distraction factor' for councils in their delivery of support to vulnerable people, the chief executive of North Yorkshire Council has warned.
Speaking at an event on the impact of reorganisation organised by think-tank Localis, Richard Flinton said the agenda brought in ‘a lot of complication for councils' in their delivery of services ‘particularly the ones for vulnerable adults and children'.
