It was a pleasure to welcome 100 colleagues from central and local government and the private sector for a Core Cities UK mini investment summit in Leeds recently.
The strategic case for investing in our cities to boost economic growth is established. Our collective challenge is how to do that at scale and pace, tackling viability gaps, building pipelines and structuring financing models that balance risk and reward between public and private sector. This event aimed to tackle these delivery challenges and use the gathered expertise in the room to work out what we do about them.
