Corporate Director – Economic and Community Ambition

We want the Council to provide leadership to its communities by developing and implementing an ambitious programme of economic and tourism initiatives across the county.

We want to build on the strengths by providing leadership to our communities and partners in the delivery of an ambitious programme of economic and community development, including optimising opportunities from tourism.

We are looking for an inspiring leader who is capable of shaping and leading signifi cant regeneration development and tourism initiatives as well as working as a Corporate Director alongside the Chief Executive and other Corporate Directors strategically managing the Council.

As Corporate Director you will also provide strategic leadership for four important services areas: Planning and Public Protection, Human Resources, Highways and Infrastructure and Housing and Community Development.

You will provide strategic support to Elected Members in the Council's decision making process and the development and implementation of policy.

You will be someone who is strongly committed to driving improvement and efficiency and will ensure there are effective systems for good governance, whilst supporting the delivery of excellent value for money services for the Council and its residents.
