Cultural uses: From estate to asset

It's no secret that public sector organisations are under sustained pressure to do more with less. With funding constraints unlikely to ease in the near term, authorities across the country are rethinking how they make better use of the assets they already hold while delivering public value and stimulating local economic growth. 

One area with significant, and often underexplored, potential is cultural uses. Often written off as an optional extra – a ‘nice to have' on top of more traditional income streams – culture also has clear potential for revenue generation.
