Director appointments in Sheffield City Council

Sheffield is on one of the UK's largest cities and has been transformed over the last 10 years with major investment in regeneration, infrastructure and its communities. The Council has just completed a review and restructure of its senior team which has saved over £1 million and has created a new more efficient and effective top structure.

As part of the City's commitment to improved outcomes for its residents, we are seeking to appoint outstanding Service Leaders to our portfolio leadership teams who possess ambition and enthusiasm to drive service delivery to the next level and contribute to the strategic direction of the Council.

Director of Regeneration and Development Services – 347012

(DG3 £83,689 - £89,831)

Leading the City Council's Regeneration and Development Services, the successful postholder will ensure that the organisation delivers an integrated approach across the City and the region.

This is a key role with responsibility for driving services that will deliver continuous improvement in the areas of Planning, Regeneration, Environmental Policy and Strategy, Housing Strategy (place making and shaping), Highways Maintenance (Client Management of the Highways PFI Programme), Transport and Highways Policy, and Parking Services.

Director of Housing Service - 347844

(DG4 £78,757 - £81,645)

This post will provide leadership for the newly formed Sheffield Council Housing Service following the integration of the City Council and Sheffield Homes. This role will work in partnership with the portfolio leadership team to achieve the ambitions included in the corporate plan and will support the Council to achieve integrated outcomes for housing management and repairs and maintenance services across the city.
