Over the last few years the Council has embarked on a successful transformation programme that has reaped benefits in terms of service improvement, cultural change, as well as efficiency savings to meet challenging budget reductions.

Nevertheless, our transformational journey continues. We are seeking to appoint to a new post of Director of Corporate Affairs as part of a restructure to create a more strategically focused Corporate Management Team.

The role will provide strategic leadership as well as playing a key role in driving forward organisational and cultural change.You will also be expected to play a key role in reshaping the corporate centre to ensure a strong focus on the needs of internal and external customers, as well as seeking opportunities to reduce corporate overheads.

You will be an inspiring and motivational leader, an effective communicator and driven to achieve challenging objectives.

You will have experience in a senior leadership position and be able to demonstrate success in delivering sustainable change. You must also be financially and commercially aware, have experience of managing complex budgets and have a proven ability to identify and achieve efficiencies.
