WORKFORCE

Director of Family Services

We've always got one eye on the future here at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Innovation, ambition and the ability to anticipate change underpin our success to date, and our new tri-borough programme shows that we are at the forefront of new service models in our quest for continuous improvement. Our emphasis throughout is on the future of our young people – that we can enhance their life chances and that the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea continues to be a great place to grow up.

You'll lead our Family Services through a period of substantial change, ensuring that the quality of our work remains high throughout. An engaging and empathetic leader, you'll ensure that colleagues are well supported and resourced in their work, and that they have a voice in how services are delivered under the new arrangements. You'll join an organisation with a reputation for high standards, and you'll work with an able and supportive cohort of staff. You should be able to demonstrate an appropriate blend of management and professional experience, and clear ideas on how high performing services can be sustained and improved even further. A qualified social worker, you'll be driven by a passion for your profession, a commitment to enhancing life chances for young people and a desire to make a success of the tri-borough model.
