Dudley MBC chief executive Kevin O'Keefe has announced he is to retire.O'Keefe has been in the role since 2019, having joined from Wolverhampton City Council, where he spent five years as a director.He said he was keen to spend more time with his family and felt the time was right to pursue other interests having overseen the two elections this year.Council leader Patrick Harley said: ‘We are grateful for the contribution Kevin has made to the council during his tenure as chief executive and wish him all the best for the future and hope he has a very happy retirement.‘Arrangements will be made in due course to appoint an interim chief executive to ensure continuity of service delivery, ahead of a process to appoint a permanent chief executive commencing later in the year.'
