Funding levels will be broadly the same for urban and rural councils under the Government's fair funding reforms, according to exclusive analysis from the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) think-tank.
The IFS found the core spending power (CSP) of the tenth most rural upper-tier councils would rise by an average of 2.2% above inflation year-on-year, while the CSP of the tenth most urban councils would increase by 2.7%.
