WORKFORCE

Executive Head - Regulatory, Surrey Heath Borough Council

We are now seeking innovative and entrepreneurial individuals to proactively lead the strategic management of two key functions. These high-profile roles offer an exceptional challenge: to identify new opportunities, drive continuous improvement and deliver what the public want at prices they can afford.

Based in Camberley in Surrey.

You will shape, develop and manage a range of services relating to the built environment including statutory and strategic housing, planning policy and conservation, and development management. Across all of these, you will lead, motivate and support your teams to deliver excellent outcomes as they focus on the needs of customers.

Both of these roles call for confident communicators and decision makers who can influence thinking at the highest level. The ability to build strong business partnerships (both internally and externally) is also essential, coupled with first-rate leadership and strategic planning skills, a commercially focused approach and the vision to inspire positive change.

For an informal discussion regarding either of these roles, please contact Karen Whelan, Chief Executive on 01276 707315.

For an application pack, apply online at this link quoting the appropriate job reference. Please note CVs will only be accepted when accompanied by a completed application.

Closing date: 10 September 2012. Interviews: 20 and 27 September 2012. Surrey Heath Borough Council is committed to equality of opportunity in employment and service delivery, and welcomes applications from all sectors of the community.
