Directors of children's services are being told to ‘force' social workers to accept unmanageable caseloads, Unison has claimed. Managers at the Children and Family Court Advisory and Support Service (CAFCASS) claimed they were struggling amid the rising cases of vulnerable children going through the courts. Unison said social services managers were having to ‘discipline' existing guardians, unable to cope with their increasing caseloads.
