Councils have been urged to take a ‘grown up' approach and ‘lean into' the boundaries that work for them as devolution advances.
Mike Greene, chief executive of Stockton-on-Tees Council, told The MJ's Future Forum in Harrogate that local authorities needed to choose the right boundaries for partnership working for the issues they were seeking to address.
