Social services in theVale of Glamorgan have made ‘significant progress' over the last six years and are now ‘mainly good' despite lacking overall co-ordination, according to the findings of a joint review by the Social Services Inspectorate for Wales and the Wales Audit Office. The last 2000 review was highly critical of the council and said its services for children and families were poor.
