The Government has intervened in Torbay Council’s emerging local plan amid concerns it falls short of meeting its housing need by more than 10,000 homes.

The Government has intervened in Torbay Council's emerging local plan amid concerns it falls short of meeting its housing need by more than 10,000 homes.

In a letter to the local authority's leader David Thomas, housing and planning minister Matthew Pennycook warned that currently the plan met only 42% of the homes needed over the next two decades.
