The Government has rejected calls by MPs to boost councils' powers over health partners to provide Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
The Education Select Committee made the call for councils to be granted ‘necessary levers' to compel the NHS and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) to take part in EHCP assessments and provide services.
