With a solid track record in finance and a strategic thinker, your responsibility will be to provide professional advice to the council on all matters financial. These will be numerous, various and challenging, as we have a big capital programme, our own housing stock, trading businesses and much more.

As the council's 151 officer you'll be expected to develop and deliver clear and transparent financial management processes, enabling cost effective, professional services.

Your expertise should also enable you to ensure the delivery of customer focussed services, take responsibility for staff, help achieve the Council's objectives, develop positive working relationships, keep up to date with service developments and ensure that the Council's commitment to equality and diversity is delivered.

If you're the person we're looking for you should have a recognised professional accountancy qualification such as CIPFA, to undertake the 151 role. Your experience should include impressive evidence of successfully leading financial services within a large, complex organisation.
