Head of Finance at Shepway Council

Finance and procurement, it could be argued are the most important functions in a Council at the moment, however if you do think that you are probably not the right person for us!

Important, yes and absolutely vital that you are an expert in your field and can set a high level of financial professional competence for the Council, but most important to us is how you manage people and how you can see the links between the Council, the community, its policies and its finances. You must also demonstrate to us that you have the ability to work with your customers, whether they are internal or external to achieve outstanding results… that's what's most important in our view!

Shepway is currently undergoing a comprehensive review of its Ways of Working and as part of the Operational Management Team, you will be a key player in leading this exciting project forward through your service area and to your customers.
