At Croydon we have a long and successful history of sector leadership through our transformation, innovation and efficiency, we are the largest council in the capital, so we are rarely out of the spotlight. Our staff pride themselves in finding better, more cohesive ways to do what we do best: serving our residents and our communities. We are now transforming how we work and deliver our services in the future, with the aim of becoming the best of the best. Our latest groundbreaking initiative is to unify, rationalise and increase the flexibility of all strategy, commissioning, procurement & performance services across our organisation. We are looking for bright, creative, passionate and inspiring individuals to work as an expert team to deliver this new way of working. Are you the best of the best?

These key strategic roles are fundamental to ensuring that our front line service departments receive the best possible advice, support and challenge from our experts in strategy, commissioning, procurement and performance, whilst ensuring that services are aligned to our corporate priorities and frameworks. As the local government environment continues to evolve, you will contribute to the shaping of our strategic direction. You'll also ensure the successful implementation of our corporate commissioning and procurement framework.

To succeed in these roles, you will have experience of delivering performance and/or strategy functions to senior management and other stakeholders and customers. We'd also expect you to be able to demonstrate the ability to influence service outcomes through excellent negotiation and relationship building.
